The company supports disabled children

This year, our company will donate 20,000 CZK to support the Parents and Friends Association of Disabled Children in the Czech Republic - KLUB KLUBÍČKO BEROUN. The funds will be used for the operation of a special van modified for transporting disabled children.
A gift for the nursery school for disabled children in Beroun

In December 2007, the metal sheet store achieved 350 days injury-free, entitling each worker to a 300 CZK bonus. All 158 employees decided to donate their bonuses to the disabled children of the Orphanage and Nursery School for Disabled Children in Beroun. The metal sheet store´s workers personally issued a gift certificate worth 46,800 CZK to the school principal.
New signage for Beroun plant

It is after 14 years that the dominating logo Linde was dismantled and exchanded for a new one "Carrier". At the same time new sign panels for truck entrance, visitor and employee parking were installed.
The new logo "Carrier, Commercial Refrigeraion" shows the division of the parent company we fall within since October 2004.

Changes in the organization structure

In November 1, 2007, the company’s organization structure underwent changes with the aim to secure higher self-administration for both plants in Mýto and Beroun. Michal Benátský, who is going to continue to work for Carrier on European projects, is concluding his 2.5 year long managing director role. The director’s function is executed byJaroslav Hrubeš in Beroun and Tomáš Kramář in Mýto. ¨
Additionally, the EH&S, ACE and part of the HR divisions will be divided with the aim to adapt their functionng better to the specific conditions in individual plants. The finance, purchasing, development, IT, and quality, along with central logistics and strategic HR all remain on the central level.
ACE bronze level

Carrier Refrigeration Operations CR spol. s r.o. has recently reached one of its 2007 company business goals. In September both Beroun and Myto sites achieved ACE bronze level. It means the operations together with the supporting departments have proved that the application of continuous improvement tools in a daily business was leading to the significant progress in understanding of internal processes and to improved performance in most of major business indicators.
At the same time Finance department legitimized its ACE silver level performance as the very first ACE cell not only within the Czech Republic operations, but in the frame of the whole EMEA commercial refrigeration business. The Finance cell associates have showed on real cases, how the reaching of their ambitious goals is influenced by utilization of the ACE tools and how their departmental processes have been improved and simplified throughout the ACE culture deployment stages.

New signage for Myto plant

In the middle of February the Myto plant was re-designated with new signs replacing the old Linde logos. New signage was created according to the corporate standards and it strengthens our identity as a part of the home company Carrier Corporation, division "Commercial Refrigeration".
Along with the signage change, the main entrance interior was modernized to meet high standards of our home company. Similar changes are going to be carried out in Beroun.
Sports day for employees

September 1st 2007, Carrier organized a Sports Day for its employees. The event took place at the Lokomotiva Beroun stadium and was managed by a Prague agency S.E.N. Team Spirit.
Participants competed in soccer, beach volleyball and "nohejbal". Everybody also had the possibility to try out some non-traditional sports such as pétanque, archery, bungeerunning and sumo or to check out spinning and step aerobic classes. A wide choice of refreshments was offered to all participants throughout the whole day. In the evening a Prague music band called Saliband looked after the entertainment side.
Company name change

On July 19th 2007, company´s name Linde Frigera s.r.o. was changed to Carrier Refrigeration Operation Czech Republic s.r.o. Thereby we became fully integrated into our home company Carrier Corporation.
