Employee training and development
Employee training program
„Our goal is to have the best trained employees in the world.“ This is the motto of George David, the president of the parent organization UTC. This motto also relates to the unique and generous offer of developing the qualifications of each employee of ours.
This means that each employee has the opportunity to begin studying at a chosen university, while Carrier will cover academic fees and textbook costs on behalf of the employee. The only condition, the employee must fulfill, is to obtain an academic title and respect the arranged study plan. Unlike other companies, which engage in improving the qualification of their employees, our employees are not obliged to remain at our company after successfully concluding their studies.
Professional training
Carrier pays special attention to so called "soft“ skills. All managers are trained in communication and managing skills on a regular basis and shift managers and foremen also have their own complex development program. At present time we provide all training sessions internally. The most favored and demanded themes are: effective meeting management, time management, dealing with emotions, feedback, project management, leadership, presentation and management skills and others.
Work safety
"Safety first" is the motto at all UTC concern plants. Our company also considers establishing safe and unhramful conditions for its employees as one of the key factors of success.
ENVIRONMENTAL, HEALTH AND SAFETY is a priority at our plants. All of our employees have the opportunity to actively participate in increasing safety and improving processes leading to ensuring the protection of the environment.
Thanks the active approach of all employees, we have managed to reduce the accident rate by more than 85% in comparison with past years. In terms of fulfilling demands, we highly exceed the primary bounds determined by Czech Republic legislature and we rank among the top organizations in the world in securing safe working conditions.
